40th Anniversary Celebration

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Alexandria, MN Celebrating 40years of Ministry, Fellowship and sharing the Gospel of our Heavenly Father! 

Good Shepherd Lutheran Chruch was founded  as a mission sister congregation of Zion Lutheran Church in the summer of 1982.   Our first comgregation was small in members, approximately 30 members, lacking worhsip space and a pastor.  Our founding faithful wasted no time in getting started on the new construction project.  Ground breaking was held on June 8, 1984 and the new church was dedicated on June 2, 1985.   At this time, our name was cvhanged from Zion Chapel to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
